So, I'm turning the big 30 this month~ I always tell my friends "It's easy to remember, it's 1-2-3!"

I was a bit ambivalent about whether or not I wanted to celebrate big. Months leading up to about Thanksgiving time, I was stoked at the thought of hosting a big birthday but I think it's the holidays that kind of makes me a bit drained of all the festivities...

But I pulled the trigger and I'm having a joint party with a good friend, who is also turning 30 a day after mine. And an added bonus, we celebrated the launching of Chloe+Mint last January on my birthday weekend. So, it'll be great that we can celebrate Chloe+Mint's 1st birthday, too!

We're doing a speakeasy theme- transforming a friend of mine's art gallery into a night full of glitz and fun. We'll have a photo booth with an awesome, gold glitter backdrop and shiny silver mylar balloons to top it off.

We've hired a bartender to offer a few specialty drinks with names that are only appropriate- I'm so into muddled jalapeno drinks right now!

I've rented this modern-but-still-within-our-theme dress by Milly for only $30 -retail $335 from Rent the Runway. You can rent beautiful designer dresses here for a fraction of the cost.

Below, is my friend's art space in DTLA Flower District that we'll be using. He's offering to rent out his space to folks wanting to host parties or events- email us if you're interested!
